What our patients have to say
Mrs C. Pugh
Mr Jain performed surgery to correct my son Edward’s squint aged 2. We have been seeing him for follow up ever since. We were very happy with the results of the surgery. Mr Jain has a lovely manner. He is warm, approachable and always manages to put Edward at ease. He is also extremely patient answering my many questions! I would recommend him unequivocally.
Mrs R. Levy
Dr Jain has performed 2 cataract surgeries on me. At all times he has been totally professional, prepared to hear what I have to say. Very empathetic to my personal problems, gentle and kind, but always the epitomy of professionalism. My ideal of what a surgeon should be. I have no problem in recommending him to friends. Indeed I have already done so. In gratitude
On behalf of Emmie I would like to thank you for all your help and prompt correspondence. We have been most grateful for the care we have received from Emmie’s procedure from start to finish. Thank you and Mr Jain very much.

I cannot recommend Dr Jain highly enough. He first saw my son when he was just 18 months old, and after the initial diagnosis of farsightedness, has been holding our hands ever since. He is a natural with children and is both patient and understanding. Equally as important, he has always made himself available to us, the parents, for questions and queries. My son, now 5 1/2, sees his semi annual visits to Dr Jain as a marker of time and a rite of passage
Ms. A Portinari
I was kindly given your name and email address by Dr Nabil at the Opthalmology department at the Barnet Hospital. I am a patient of Mr Saurabh Jain the opthalmology surgeon at that hospital. I would like to briefly tell you about the treatment I have been given by Dr Nabil and Mr. Jain. Lets go back 18 months to January 2015 when I had cataracts operated on in both eyes at the Whittington Hospital.
The procedures were both successful and I was very pleased with the surgeon and the service I received at the Whittington Hospital, about 6 weeks after the procedure I started to notice that I was developing double vision when looking at car number plates, street names and single objects turned into two. I went back to the Whittington Hospital and saw different doctors in the opthalmology department over the period of 14 months and apart from getting glasses with prisms in the lenses I was told there was nothing more that could be done. As you can imagine I was not very happy about the situation.
On one of the visits to the Whittington opthalmology department a Dr. Gupta did some laser work on my eyes and wondered if it might help the double vision, at the same time he introduced me to Mr. Jain who happened to be there on that day. Mr. Jain asked me what my problem was and on telling him he immediately referred me to his clinic at Barnet Hospital and told me he could help me.
Can you imagine what a relief that was to feel that at last something could be done to correct the double vision I had over the last 14 months. I attended his clinic at Barnet hospital and was given lots of different test by Mr. Jain’s colleagues especially by Dr Nabil who in my opinion is the best in his field. Mr. Jain, after consulting with his collegues said that he could operate on my left eye and pull the muscle in the eye to the left hand corner taking up the slack of the muscle and then duly stitching it making the eye look straight instead of it looking slightly inwards which he was convinced was causing the double vision. I had the operation at the Royal Free hospital on 12th September and from that day onwards the double vision has gone. When I saw Mr. Jain and Dr. Nabil at the clinic at Barnet Hospital a few days after the operation I was so happy I don’t think I can really tell you how happy I am. I felt I would like to send you an email saying how professional and caring Mr. Jain and his collegues are and how understanding they are to their patients problems.
I feel Mr. Jain has performed a miracle for me because after all the negative feed back I have had for the last 14 months l feel so lucky to have met him at The Whittington hospital, I feel I must have been in the right place at the right time and now I am able to get rid of the prism glasses and use only normal reading glasses . I hope this can give you a positive feed back regarding Mr. Jain and all his collegues at the opthalmology department at Barnet Hospital. I feel very priviledge to have met them all and to be under their care.
